# Calendly

> Connect Calendly with a personal access token, so the agent can book meetings on your calendar.

Connecting Calendly lets an agent find open times on one of your Calendly events and book one during the conversation. Which event, and in which time zone, is set on the [Calendly booking](https://wiredesk.ai/docs/actions/calendly-booking.md) action.

**1. Create a token**

In Calendly: **Integrations & apps → API and webhooks → Generate new token**. Name it Wiredesk and copy it. Calendly shows it once.

**2. Connect**

In Wiredesk, **Agents → your agent → Actions › Connections → Calendly → Connect**, and paste the token.

Before saving, we ask Calendly whose token it is, and the card shows that account's email. The agent books into that person's events.

> [!NOTE]
>
> Booking from the conversation uses Calendly's Scheduling API, which Calendly offers on paid plans only. On a free plan the agent can still find open times, but a booking fails and the Calendly card shows Calendly's reason.

Prefer Cal.com? It's built in: see [Book meetings](https://wiredesk.ai/docs/actions/book-meetings.md).
