WireDesk vs Intercom Fin: Fin Alternative (2026)

Fin is the most complete AI agent in this market: it answers on more channels than WireDesk, it runs on Intercom's helpdesk or on top of yours, and it publishes a simple price of $0.99 per outcome. Pick it if you want breadth and per-outcome billing. WireDesk is narrower and priced differently: one agent across website chat, a phone line and support email, billed per reply and per voice minute with a hard monthly cap, and handing over by opening a ticket in the helpdesk you already run, Intercom included.

Fin's pricing page lists voice, email, Messenger, Slack, WhatsApp, SMS, Instagram and Facebook Messenger, and Fin runs on Intercom's own helpdesk or on top of the helpdesk you already use. WireDesk covers three of those channels: a chat widget on your site, a phone line with live transfer to your team, and its own email address. It does not answer on WhatsApp, SMS or social today.

The pricing models fail in different directions. Fin charges $0.99 per outcome, which Intercom defines to include procedure handoffs as well as resolutions, with a minimum of 50 outcomes a month on other helpdesks; seats on Intercom's helpdesk are priced separately. WireDesk charges for the work: $0.02 per agent reply on chat and email and $0.20 per started voice minute, whether or not the conversation ended in an outcome, on top of a plan that includes some of that usage. A four-reply chat is $0.08; a call that rounds to four minutes is $0.80. Which costs less depends on how many replies your conversations take and how many of them Fin would count as outcomes, so run both on a real month.

Fin's price for voice is not on its public pricing page. If phone is part of your evaluation, ask for it in writing before you compare.

Pick the one that fits. Here's how to tell.

Pick Intercom Fin if…

  • You need WhatsApp, SMS or social messaging answered by the same agent today.
  • You already run Intercom, or want one vendor for the helpdesk and the AI agent.
  • You prefer paying per outcome and are comfortable with how Fin defines one.

Pick WireDesk if…

  • Your volume is chat, phone and email, and you want one agent and one transcript history across the three.
  • You want a published voice price and a hard monthly cap on what you pay past your plan.
  • You want to keep your helpdesk, Intercom or otherwise, and have the agent open tickets in it.
