Call Transcript Summarizer

Paste a call transcript and get a summary with the outcome, next steps and customer sentiment, or action items only. Drafted by a model for support teams; nothing stored.

After-call work is where the queue goes to wait. An agent finishes a seven-minute call and spends another two writing it up, and the write-up is still whatever they remembered: sometimes the outcome, rarely the promise they made, almost never the customer's mood. The next agent to open the ticket reads three lines and asks the customer to start again.

This tool takes a transcript — from your telephony provider, a recording service or a pasted chat — and writes the note. Choose a full summary with next steps, action items only, or a sentiment and risk read for QA and account teams. It works from what's in the transcript and nothing else. The model reads it once; nothing is stored beyond a short cache of the result. The same summarizer runs after every WireDesk call.

Example: summary of a billing call

Outcome
Customer (Dana Reyes, Acme Logistics) called about a $1,240 invoice for September that included 12 seats; the account was reduced to 8 seats on 14 August. Agent confirmed the seat change was applied after the billing date and issued a credit of $413.33 for the four unused seats, to appear on the October invoice.

Next steps
- Agent: email credit confirmation and corrected invoice PDF today (owner: Sam).
- Customer: forward the corrected invoice to her finance team; no further action needed.
- Ticket: check that the October invoice bills 8 seats before it is sent.

Sentiment
Frustrated at the start ("third month in a row"), neutral by the end once the credit was confirmed. Mentioned this was a recurring problem; no mention of cancelling. Recommend an account manager follow-up on why the previous two corrections did not stick.
How to read it

What each input means

  1. 01

    Call transcript

Paste the whole thing, speaker labels included if you have them ("Agent:", "Customer:"). Up to 12,000 characters, which is roughly a 12-minute call. Longer calls: paste the second half separately and merge the notes.

  2. 02

    What you need

Summary and next steps is the ticket note. Action items only gives a checklist of what was promised, by whom, by when. Customer sentiment and risk is for QA and account managers: how the caller felt, whether they mentioned leaving, and why.

  3. 03

    Read it against the transcript

The summary states what the transcript states. If the agent said "I'll get that refunded" without a date, the next step has no date either. Add the missing fact before you file it rather than expecting the note to know what the agent meant.

FAQ

Questions about this tool

It reports what the transcript contains and doesn't fill gaps. If a refund amount is never said aloud, it isn't in the summary. The usual failure is the transcript itself: automatic speech-to-text mishears names, amounts and order numbers, and the summary inherits the error. Check numbers against the recording before they go on a ticket.
